Position Description |
ASI, a Division of RAMTeCH is an experienced utility data conversion provider. We are seeking a motivated, GIS Application Developer at our Waukesha, Wisconsin office to be involved in the software design and implementation process. Candidates must have geographic information systems experience, strong object oriented programming skills, and experience developing applications for use within ESRI products. The individual will work closely with project managers, technical leads and clients, and will play a role in the development of new tools and the enhancement of existing software. |
Position Requirements |
- Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, engineering, or geography (or related field with computer emphasis). Relevant job experience also considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of three years experience with ArcGIS, ArcSDE and other ESRI products.
- Experience with commercial RDBMS, such as Oracle or SQL Server.
- At least one year developing end-user applications with an object oriented programming language, such as Visual Basic.NET, C#, Python, with an emphasis on ArcObjects.
- Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining GIS systems, especially as it applies within an ArcSDE environment.
- Working knowledge of ArcFM.
- Experience in a Windows-based environment using Microsoft products.
- Knowledge of industry-standard software development lifecycle standards and practices.
- Experience with Smallworld, Intergraph or AutoCAD a plus.
- Experience in data modeling desirable.
- Knowledge of electric, gas, water and wastewater utilities desirable.
